General
What is GoWebsited?
GoWebsited is a fully managed website service. We design, build, host, secure, and maintain your website for a flat monthly fee. You get a professional, custom-designed website without having to learn WordPress, hire a developer, or manage anything technical. We handle everything — you focus on your business.
Who is GoWebsited for?
GoWebsited is built for startups, small and medium businesses, nonprofits, consultants, service providers, and anyone who needs a professional website but doesn’t want to deal with building or maintaining it themselves. If you want a website that works and someone to take care of it — we’re for you.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
No contracts. Monthly plans are month-to-month — cancel anytime. Yearly plans are paid upfront for the year at a significant discount (2 months free + setup fee waived), but there’s no auto-renewal obligation. You’re never locked in.
How long does it take to get my website?
Most websites are designed and built within 2–5 business days after you submit your intake form. After that, you get a preview to review and give feedback. Total time from signup to live site is typically 5–7 business days, depending on how quickly you provide feedback.
Do I need to provide content for my website?
Not necessarily. Our intake form asks about your business, services, and goals, but every question is optional. The more you give us, the better we can tailor the site. But if all you have is a business name and a general idea of what you do, we’ll work with that and create professional content for you.
Pricing & Billing
What’s included in the monthly price?
Every plan includes: custom website design, web hosting, domain (registration or connection), SSL certificate, SEO and AEO optimization, security monitoring, regular maintenance and updates, and monthly edit hours. Pro and Business plans also include blog posts, priority support, and additional features. There are no hidden fees.
What is the setup fee?
The $299 setup fee covers the initial design and build of your website — consultation, custom design, development, content setup, SEO/AEO configuration, and launch. This fee is completely waived if you choose a yearly plan, saving you $299 on top of the 2 free months.
How much do I save with a yearly plan?
Yearly plans include 2 months free plus the $299 setup fee is waived. That means: Starter saves $397/year, Pro saves $497/year, and Business saves $697/year. Yearly is always the better deal if you know you’ll need your website for more than a few months.
What happens if I need edits beyond my included hours?
Extra edits are available at $75/hour, or you can purchase a 3-hour block for $199 (saves $26). We’ll always let you know if a request would exceed your included hours before doing the work — no surprise charges.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately — we’ll expand your site with the new plan’s features. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle so you don’t lose access to anything mid-month.
SEO & AEO
What is AEO (Answer Engine Optimization)?
AEO stands for Answer Engine Optimization. It’s the practice of structuring your website’s content so that AI-powered search tools — like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity, and Gemini — can read, understand, and recommend your business directly. Instead of just showing up as a link in search results, AEO makes your business the answer that AI gives to users. Think of it as SEO’s next evolution.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO optimizes your site for traditional search engines like Google, focusing on keywords, backlinks, and ranking in a list of results. AEO optimizes your site for AI answer engines, focusing on structured content, direct answers, schema markup, and semantic formatting that AI models can parse. SEO gets you on the page — AEO makes you the answer. We do both.
Why do I need AEO?
Because search behavior is shifting. More people are asking AI tools for recommendations instead of scrolling through Google results. If your website isn’t optimized for these AI systems, you’re invisible to a growing segment of potential customers. AEO is still new — most businesses and even most web agencies aren’t doing it yet. Getting ahead now gives you a significant competitive advantage.
Is SEO/AEO really included at $49/mo?
Yes. Every plan — including Starter — includes on-page SEO and AEO optimization. We structure your content, meta tags, headings, and schema markup for both traditional search engines and AI answer engines. Most agencies charge $500–2,000/month for SEO alone and don’t even offer AEO. We include both because we believe it shouldn’t be a luxury.
Technical
What platform do you build on?
We build on WordPress — the world’s most popular content management system, powering over 40% of all websites on the internet. It’s reliable, flexible, and scalable. But you never have to log into WordPress yourself. We manage everything for you.
Do I get access to my WordPress dashboard?
You can get read-level access if you want to see what’s going on under the hood. But the whole point of GoWebsited is that you don’t have to. You submit edit requests through our form, and we handle all changes. This prevents accidental edits, plugin conflicts, and the technical issues that come with multiple people editing a WordPress site.
What about my domain?
Domain is included in every plan. If you already own a domain, we’ll connect it to your new site (we’ll ask for DNS or nameserver access). If you need a new domain, we’ll register it for you at no extra charge. No separate domain bills, no renewal surprises.
Is my website mobile-friendly?
Always. Every website we build is fully responsive — it looks and works great on phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. We test on multiple devices and screen sizes before launch. Mobile traffic makes up over 60% of web traffic, so mobile-first design isn’t optional for us.
Cancellation & Data
What happens if I cancel?
Your site stays live until the end of your current billing period. After that, the site goes offline. We keep your files for 30 days in case you change your mind. You can request a PDF export of your content at no cost, or a full working export (WordPress files and database) for up to $299.
What if my payment fails?
We give you a 15-day grace period to update your payment method. During this time, your site stays live and we’ll send you reminders. If payment isn’t resolved after 15 days, the site goes offline (but we don’t delete anything — just flip the DNS). Update your payment and we’ll bring it right back.
Do I own my website content?
You own your content — text, images, and materials you provide. The design and code are GoWebsited’s intellectual property and are licensed to you while your subscription is active. If you cancel, you can export your content. This is standard for managed website services and ensures we can continue to maintain and secure the site properly.
